Experience

1967- 1970 Expert 1799 began his engineering experience in the U.S. Army, serving from as an artillery surveyor, providing coordinate and elevation control at the division artillery level.  The state-of-the-art technology at that time required the use of chaining, plumb bob, coordinates and azimuth, as well as the use of an ephemeris and transit.  Expert 1799 served in Germany, stateside and in Vietnam.

1973 upon completion of military service, Expert 1799 returned to college, enrolled in the cooperative education program and completed the requirements for a B.S.C.E. from Illinois Institute of Technology   Expert 1799 cooperative education experiences utilized survey skills for mapping the field layout on the I-5 extension for the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority and on stream cross-sections on the HUD floodplain mapping project.

Expert 1799 practical experience was founded upon the pre-computer-aided drafting skills, and construction assignments as assistant resident and resident engineer on several federal-funded projects for which he provided design

Expert 1799 received P.E., left consulting to join the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority and served in a variety of staff positions in the Design Department.  At the end of Expert 1799 nine-year tenure, held the title of Engineer of Design, and had reviewed the plans for over 350 projects, including the construction of I-355, the North-South Toll-Way, which was a 17-mile expressway with a multi-billion dollar budget.

Expert 1799 returned to the private sector and for the past seventeen years, he has served in various roles such as Operations Manager, Director of Engineering, Chief Civil Engineer and Senior Project Manager with a number of consulting firms.  His primary duties have always revolved around his talent for plan review, so that he was able to retain a hands-on role in numerous roadway, freeway, expressway and toll way projects at the municipal, county and state transportation levels.
